What is the definition of health under the bio-psychological-social medical model?
The definition of health under the bio-psycho-social medical model is that one is physical health and the other is mental health. The biomedical model overemphasizes people's physical health and thinks that no disease is health. Medical staff are used to relying on various biometric standards as the final indicators to judge health and disease. If the patient does not find any positive signs after various examinations, it is judged as "healthy", regardless of the patient's psychological feelings and social adaptability. This view of health obviously ignores the influence of psychological and social factors on health. According to the bio-psychological-social medical model, health not only refers to normal physical function, but also includes good mental health and social adaptability. In the constitution adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) 1948, the definition of health is: "Health refers to a perfect state of body, mind and society, not just the absence of disease and weakness". 1990, the world health organization developed this definition again, thinking that health should be a good state of physiology, psychology, social adaptation and morality.
