[Story]

On the afternoon of October 22nd, 65438/KLOC-0, the bright autumn sunshine warmed Xinli Village, Zhadu Town, Lengshuijiang City.

In the diagnosis room of the village clinic, three old people wearing masks are measuring blood pressure and blood sugar around the village doctor Wu Yuxian. Outside the diagnosis room, there are five or six old people sitting in chairs waiting quietly.

This standardized clinic is located on the first floor of the village office building and opened only two months ago. Previously, the village clinic was located in Wu Yuxian's home.

"Dr. Yu is a good man. He usually comes to see me two or three times a month. " Wu, a 73-year-old man, has an amputated leg and suffers from high blood pressure. He told reporters with a smile.

"The young people in the village have all gone out, leaving 1 13 old people at home. Most of them have hypertension, some have diabetes, and 1 1 patients with severe mental illness. Their health guards were handed over to Wu Yuxian. " Tan Hua, secretary of the Party branch of Zhadu Town Health Center, said.

Young people who work outside the home often call Wu Yuxian to ask about their parents. In the end, they always say, "With your concern, we will feel at ease outside."

They may not know how hard Wu Yuxian has worked to "take care of" the elderly in the village!

One winter morning three years ago, Wu Yuxian received a phone call. Xie Yine, who lives more than 0 km away from Wu Yuxian's home 10, suddenly suffered from heart failure. Let him go and have a look. At this time, the snow closed the mountain, and the road was covered with thick ice, so that motorcycles could not run and shoes could not be worn. Wu Yuxian had no time to have breakfast, so he went out with a pair of cloth shoes and a medicine box on his back. On the way, he climbed and climbed for three or four hours before reaching the patient's house. After more than two hours of emergency treatment, the old man passed the critical period. When Wu Yuxian came home, the night was like ink, and the cloth shoes on his feet were all wet inside and out.

During Wu Yuxian's 28-year career as a rural doctor, I don't know how many such cases have happened. The most tense and difficult one was the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control war at the beginning of this year.

During the Spring Festival, Xinli Village was shrouded in a tense atmosphere. There are more than 30 close contacts of confirmed patients in this village, more than 10 who have returned from Wuhan, and nearly 40 key monitoring objects who have returned to their hometowns by closed transportation. Wu Yuxian did a good job as a parent and bravely shouldered the heavy burden. For more than 80 key targets, he goes to the door twice a day in the morning and evening to take his temperature and report it. At the same time, he distributed prevention and control publicity materials door to door to inform the villagers of the knowledge of epidemic prevention and control. "In those days, I felt that I had to find a way to squeeze time when I slept." Wu Yuxian said.

The hardest thing is loneliness. The villagers saw this white shadow wrapped up and down from a distance. For the safety of his family, Wu Yuxian ate and lived separately from them and could not speak at all. When the epidemic alarm was lifted, I took off my "fully armed" clothes and went home. My parents looked at their son who had lost a circle and burst into tears: "Son, how much you have suffered!" "

"He is full of enthusiasm for his work and affection for the villagers." Tan Hong, vice president of the town health center, said that Wu Yuxian's work assessment has been among the best in the town over the years, ranking first for three consecutive years from 20 17 to 20 19. He loves learning and is eager to learn. Faced with the public health 3.0 system, family doctor contract system, health poverty alleviation system and various newly developed apps, many rural doctors are at a loss. Wu Yuxian used the evening time to study and ponder, and quickly mastered the application. And then enthusiastically pass it on to colleagues. Now he has become the "big brother" of rural doctors in the town, and colleagues from other counties and cities have sought his advice online and called him "master".

At the end of the interview, the reporter specially went to see Wu Yuxian's residence, which was used as a rural clinic for more than 20 years. It is an old house with half red brick and half earth brick, which looks a bit shabby in a village full of brand-new foreign buildings. Wu Yuxian's wife works in Lengshuijiang City, and her 70-year-old parents work in the fields.

Wu Yuxian could have lived a better life. A private hospital in Changsha once offered to hire him with a monthly salary of 8,000 yuan, but he refused. He said, what about the old people in the village when I leave?

Speaking of past experiences, this man with a height of 1.8 meters has tears on his glasses. His tears contain his hardships and grievances, and his warmth to the villagers.

Like many simple and excellent rural doctors, Wu Yuxian is ordinary and great.
