Is there a difference between acne and mites?

* * * There are three differences, as follows:

1, different categories.

(1), mites belong to a class of small animals of Arachnida, Arthropoda. They are generally about 0.5 mm in size, some as small as 0.65438 0 mm, and most species are less than 65438 0 mm. Mites and spiders belong to arachnida. Adults have four pairs of feet, a pair of tentacles, no wings and tentacles, and their body structure is different from that of insects. Insects are divided into jaws and bodies. Jaws consist of mouthparts and jaw bases, and bodies are divided into feet and end bodies.

(2) Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with hair follicle and sebaceous gland unit, which mainly occurs in teenagers and has a great influence on their psychological and social life, but it can be naturally relieved or cured after puberty. Clinical manifestations are characterized by polymorphic skin lesions, such as acne, papules, pustules, nodules, etc., which often occur on the face.

2、? People have different symptoms.

(1), acariasis includes ear mites, scabies and demodicidosis.

Ear mite is a kind of mite parasitic in the ear canal, which often causes local itching, ear tremors and brown secretions in the ear canal. Topical acaricide 1-2 weeks later can be cured.

Sarcoptes parasitize the epidermis, which can cause severe itching, skin surface flushing, rash nodules, skin thickening and scabbing, and is usually hairless due to frequent scratching.

Demodex is usually parasitic in sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Generally speaking, it is more common in the face, limbs and armpits. The skin of the affected part is red and scattered in a rash. After infection, pus and body odor can be formed.

(2) The non-inflammatory disease of acne becomes open and closed acne.

The typical lesions of closed acne (also known as baldness) are skin papules with the size of about 1 mm, and there is no obvious hair follicle opening. Open acne (also known as blackhead acne) is characterized by dome-shaped papules and obvious enlargement of hair follicle openings. The further development of acne will evolve into various inflammatory lesions, showing inflammatory papules, pustules, nodules, cysts and so on.

Inflammatory papules are red with a diameter of1~ 5 mm; Pustules are uniform in size and filled with white pus; Nodules larger than 5 mm in diameter have induration and feel pain when touched; The cyst is deeper and full of pus and blood mixture. These lesions can also fuse to form large inflammatory plaques and sinuses. After the inflammatory lesions subside, pigmentation, persistent erythema, depression or hypertrophy scars are usually left.

3. The causes of the two are different.

(1), facial mites are mostly parasitic in sebaceous glands of hair follicles, absorbing nutrients from cells and sebaceous glands and damaging normal cells; Due to the mechanical stimulation of worms and the chemical stimulation of insect excreta, parasitic parts can cause hair follicle enlargement, cell infiltration around vasodilation, fibrous tissue proliferation, tissue damage, allergic reaction, erythema, papules and granuloma on the skin.

(2) The occurrence of acne is closely related to factors such as excessive sebum secretion, blockage of sebaceous glands in hair follicles, bacterial infection and inflammatory reaction. After entering adolescence, the level of androgen, especially testosterone, rises rapidly, which promotes the development of sebaceous glands and produces a lot of sebum.

At the same time, the abnormal keratinization of sebaceous gland ducts in hair follicles causes duct blockage, sebum excretion disorder and keratin plug, that is, micro-acne. Many microorganisms, especially Propionibacterium acnes, proliferate in hair follicles. Lipase produced by Propionibacterium acne decomposes sebum to produce free fatty acids, and at the same time chemotaxis inflammatory cells and mediators, eventually inducing and aggravating inflammatory reactions.
