Legal basis: People's Republic of China (PRC) Vaccine Management Law Article 48 When children enter kindergartens and schools, nurseries and schools shall check their vaccination certificates. If it is found that the children are not vaccinated according to the regulations, it shall report to the vaccination unit where the children live or where the kindergartens or schools are located, and cooperate with the vaccination unit to urge their guardians to replant according to the regulations. Disease prevention and control institutions shall provide technical guidance for kindergartens and schools to check vaccination certificates. Measures for the inspection of children's vaccination certificates entering kindergartens and schools shall be formulated by the administrative department of health of the State Council in conjunction with the administrative department of education of the State Council. Article 46 Medical and health personnel shall truthfully, accurately and completely record the vaccination information such as vaccine variety, marketing license holder, identification information of the smallest packaging unit, expiration date, vaccination time, medical and health personnel who carried out vaccination, recipients and so on in accordance with the provisions of the health administrative department of the State Council, so as to ensure that the vaccination information can be traced and inquired. Vaccination records shall be kept for not less than five years after the vaccine expires.
