Color printing is a way to copy an image or text into color (correspondingly, only black and white printing or monochrome printing). It involves many steps, or conversion processes, to produce high-quality color copies.
In the traditional color market, color printing technology is mainly divided into three categories: production color, image color and commercial color. This classification is mainly determined by the customer's output demand.
Color production is suitable for mass production. In this field, higher production speed and lower unit printing cost are very important.
Image color live parts must reach a high quality level (usually need accurate color matching), but the printing quantity of such live parts is generally small.
Commercial color is a rapidly developing field at present, because color files are more and more widely used in office environment.
But now, the quality of image color and the characteristics of high-speed and low-cost color production have weakened to some extent, so the differences between various color printing technologies have become less obvious.
