Book Records of Shiquan Ancient Miao Village

According to the local "Shi Family Tree", the ancestors of the Shi family moved from Jiangxi to "Huoshaoxi" and lived in the stockade for 15 generations. For hundreds of years, due to the restriction of road traffic, ancient villages have been well preserved. The houses in Guzhai are all wooden quadrangles and diaojiao buildings. In addition to principal rooms, principal rooms, turrets, wing rooms and opposite doors, there are also peculiar "official houses". The most amazing thing is that when building these houses, tenons don't need to be nailed. Almost all the daily utensils in the villagers' homes were left over by their ancestors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Known as "the most primitive ancient Miao village, the unique living fossil of Miao ancient dwellings".

Shiquan ancient Miao village, also known as "Huoshaoxi". Burning a stream, fire and water can't be tolerated, definitely not. The reason of "burning flow" comes from a legend. It is said that a long time ago, the primitive jungle of Shiquan ancient Miao village was densely covered, and different birds and animals shuttled between the forests. One afternoon, when Laozi Shiquan came home from work, he saw a python coiled in the fireplace at home, and the small snakes around him wriggled, which scared Laozi. He didn't dare to enter the house, so he went straight back to the Apeng River and set a fire to burn the "one stream and two covers" clean. The fire burned for three days and nights. As a result, rare birds and animals were driven away, and the ancient Miao village in Shiquan flourished. Although it is a legend, it adds a bit of mystery to the ancient Miao village.
