Hefei Central Hospital is located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Huizhou Avenue and Ziyun Road in Binhu New District of Hefei City, covering an area of about 159 mu, with a total construction area of about 3 10000 square meters. It consists of eight single buildings: outpatient building, emergency building, medical technology building, surgical ward building, internal medicine ward building, comprehensive ward building, central supply building and central security building, which is the largest in East China at present.
The project of Hefei Central Hospital was planned once and constructed in two phases. The first phase was officially started on March 20th, 2007. After the completion of the whole project, there will be 7,000 daily outpatient visits, 2,000 daily emergency visits and 3,000 beds. It is a three-level general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, health care, prevention, rehabilitation, first aid, health examination, sub-health treatment, aged care and hospice care.
