The Connotation, Purpose and Significance of National Standards for Students' Physical Fitness and Health

The connotation, purpose and significance of National Students' Physical Health Standard are shared as follows:

Connotation: In order to implement the guiding ideology of health first, strengthen school physical education, promote students to actively participate in physical exercise, develop good exercise habits and improve physical health.

It is an organic part of the National Physical Training Standard, the concrete implementation of the National Physical Training Standard in schools, and the basic requirement of the state for students' physical health. It is suitable for students in full-time primary schools, junior high schools, ordinary high schools, secondary vocational schools and ordinary colleges and universities.

Objective: To implement the spirit of "the guiding ideology of' health first' in school education" put forward by the Third National Education Work Conference, to promote students to actively participate in physical exercise, do a good job in physical education class, enhance students' physique, improve their health level, and cultivate students into high-quality talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and beauty.

Significance: It is of great practical and long-term social significance to promote students to actively participate in physical exercise, form the habit of regular physical exercise, and improve their self-care ability and physical health.

Test items: height and standard weight, 800 m/1000 m running, vital capacity, 50 m running, standing long jump, sit-ups, pull-ups and sitting forward.

Each student is evaluated once every academic year and recorded in the National Student Physical Health Standard Registration Card (attached table 1 ~ 6). Schools with special academic system can add or subtract columns according to regulations and needs when filling in the registration card. Students' graduation grades and grades shall be assessed according to the sum of 50% of their total graduation grades and 50% of the average grades in other academic years.

Every school conducts a standard test covering all grades of the school every academic year. After the standard test data is audited by the local education administrative department as required, it is uploaded to the national student physical health standard data management system through the China Student Physical Health Network. The testing and data uploading time shall be determined by the administrative department of education.
