According to the physiological characteristics of middle-aged people, diet should follow the following principles:

(1) Pay attention to the rationality and scientificity of diet.

(2) Start dieting in the late middle age to prevent obesity caused by overnutrition. Eat eight or nine full meals.

(3) Strictly limit foods with high fat, high cholesterol and high sugar, and limit the intake of sodium salt.

(4) Avoid eating foods that are easy to induce or aggravate diseases.

(5) Eat regularly and quantitatively to avoid overeating.

Middle-aged people should also pay attention to the reasonable arrangement of three meals a day. Eat well early, eat well at noon and eat less at night. For night shift workers, it doesn't hurt to eat more dinner.
