How to adjust the running distance of Huawei watches incorrectly?

If your watch/bracelet supports GPS function, or the watch/bracelet is successfully connected to Huawei Health App during exercise (Huawei mobile phone EMUI5.0, HarmonyOS system 2.0 and above/Apple mobile phone iOS9.0 and above), the watch/bracelet will calculate the distance/speed according to GPS.

If your watch/bracelet doesn't support GPS function, and the watch/bracelet is not connected or disconnected from Huawei Health App during exercise, the watch/bracelet will record your exercise data through the sensor, and calculate the distance/speed in combination with your personal information filled in Huawei Health App.

First of all, please accurately set personal information on Huawei Health App, including gender, height, weight and age, in order to improve the statistical accuracy of sports data. Setting path: Huawei Health App> My > Personal Data.

First, the watch/bracelet supports GPS function, and the distance/speed of outdoor sports is inaccurate.

The GPS signal is greatly influenced by environmental factors, such as high-rise occlusion, signal reflection, metal interference, water reflection (lakeside, seaside), etc., which will affect the GPS signal and lead to inaccurate distance/speed.

I suggest you do outdoor sports in an open and sheltered environment.

1, wear a watch/bracelet alone for outdoor sports.

It is recommended that you ensure that the mobile phone network is normal every day or before you start outdoor sports, open Huawei Health App, and keep the watch/bracelet successfully connected with Huawei Health App for more than 5 minutes (please keep it for 10 minutes for Apple mobile phones), and the GPS ephemeris on the watch/bracelet will be automatically updated.

Tip:

If you are using Huawei WATCH 3 series watches:

Please upgrade your watch, mobile phone and Huawei Health App to the latest version.

In the watch smart mode, you can update the ephemeris by connecting WLAN, using mobile data and connecting Huawei Health App.

In the long battery life mode of the watch, only Huawei Health App can be connected to update the ephemeris.

It is recommended that you wait for the GPS signal to search successfully before starting outdoor sports (such as the gray background of the characters turns orange) before starting sports.

2. The watch/bracelet was successfully connected to Huawei Outdoor Sports Health App (Huawei mobile phone EMUI5.0, HarmonyOS system 2.0 and above/Apple mobile phone iOS9.0 and above).

It is recommended that you set the location permission of Huawei Health App to always allow. Carry your mobile phone with you when exercising, and keep the watch/bracelet connected to Huawei Health App successfully.

I suggest you wait until the GPS signal search is successful before starting outdoor sports.

Second, the watch/bracelet does not support the GPS function, and the distance/speed of outdoor sports is inaccurate.

In outdoor sports, it is more accurate for watches/bracelets to calculate information through GPS than to record and calculate information through sensors. You can do outdoor sports in the following two ways.

1. Outdoor sports suggested that the watch/bracelet was successfully connected with Huawei Health App (Huawei mobile phone EMUI5.0, HarmonyOS system 2 and above/Apple mobile phone iOS9.0 and above).

It is recommended that you set the location permission of Huawei Health App to always allow. Carry your mobile phone with you when exercising, and keep the watch/bracelet connected to Huawei Health App successfully.

I suggest you wait until the GPS signal search is successful before starting outdoor sports.

2. The watch/bracelet is paired with Huawei Health App to start outdoor sports through Huawei Health App.

Thirdly, when the movement state changes, the distance/speed of outdoor sports is inaccurate.

When the movement state changes, such as movement stop, acceleration and deceleration, it will take some time for the sensor to detect and identify the movement state change, and the data display on the watch/bracelet will be slightly delayed. After the exercise, you can view the detailed exercise data in the watch/bracelet exercise record or Huawei Health App exercise record.
