The provincial economic development zone established with the approval of the provincial people's government and the National Development and Reform Commission in February 2006 was renamed Lujiang High-tech Zone in Hefei, Anhui Province on June 201July with the approval of the provincial government.
The park is the leader of industrial economy in Lujiang County and an important part of the southern sub-center of Hefei's "133 1" spatial development strategy.
Lujiang High-tech Zone has its own development direction in transportation, industry and commerce.

Lujiang is located in Nanjing, Hefei, Wuhu, Maanshan, Tongling, Anqing and other urban agglomerations along the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is an important traffic node of Hefei South Sub-center, and Lujiang High-tech Zone is an important traffic plate of Lujiang.
Hetong first-class highway is adjacent to the east, and there is a fast track through Lucheng and Hetonghuang Expressway in the south.
