Common health problems of children-non-communicable diseases

1. Obesity

The results of the national students' physical health survey in 2000 show that the students' physical health level in China has been greatly improved. Compared with the survey results of 1995, students' height, weight, chest circumference and other morphological development indicators are on the rise. The average height of students increased by 0.35 cm and the average weight increased by 0.63 kg. The consistency between physical development and nutritional status of adolescents has been improved in an all-round way, and the detection rates of underweight and malnutrition have decreased 1. 1%-7.6% respectively. However, the health status of children and adolescents in China is not optimistic. The survey also shows that the physical quality and vital capacity of Chinese students have generally declined, especially their endurance and flexibility, and 75% of them have reduced their vital capacity to varying degrees. Among the students' obesity detection rate, urban boys rose the fastest, from 5.9% to 10. 1%, and urban girls rose from 3.0% to 4.9%, among which 7- 12-year-old pupils had the highest obesity detection rate. The research of "community intervention on obesity of children aged 0~3 years" in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of China CDC was officially launched.

Obesity Obesity of most children is related to excess calories and lack of exercise. Intervention measures: regular screening, nutrition guidance, reasonable exercise and active lifestyle.

2. Malnutrition

It is mainly nutritional anemia caused by malnutrition, rickets and nutritional deficiency. Intervention measures: reasonable nutrition, developing eating habits and correcting the problem of partial eclipse and picky eaters.

3. Poor oral hygiene

Intervention measures: publicity and education, establishing good oral hygiene habits, reasonable nutrition and regular dental examination.

4. Vision problems

Myopia and amblyopia are common vision problems for children. Intervention measures: reasonable lighting, correct posture, combination of work and rest, and regular inspection.

5. Tumors

It is worth noting that malignant tumor has ranked second among the causes of death of children under 0/4 years old in China. The incidence of childhood cancer is 104/ 10,000, accounting for 0.6% of all malignant tumors. Although the incidence rate is not high, the mortality rate accounts for 10.7% of the total child mortality rate. Children of all ages, including newborns, may suffer from cancer, and the site of the disease also includes various systems of the whole body. In recent years, the incidence rate has been on the rise.
