Shigu Dawang Temple is located at the mouth of the mountain leading to Wuhua on the mountainside of Shen Guang in Xingning. The scenery here is very beautiful, with mountains on both sides, tree-lined and tree-lined. A stream, along the mountain, bypasses the peak and gurgles out of the pit. On the left side of the pithead is a temple, and on the right side is a four-story "Wang Xingting". In the middle stands a towering ancient banyan tree, which covers the pit like an open umbrella. The shade of trees and the slowly blowing mountain breeze make this place a cool world. I remember in the early 1960s, when I was studying in Xingning Huaqiao Middle School, I often came here during my lunch break in summer. The picture shows the word "cool". There is a pavilion under the banyan tree, and there are many merit plaques hanging around it. There are stone tables and benches inside, and people often sit there to enjoy the cool.
The existing Shigu Dawang Temple, with cornices and upturned corners, is a two-story antique temple built on the mountain. This temple was built shortly after the reform and opening up. But now it can't accommodate more and more tourists and believers. A more magnificent new temple is being built next to it.
Shigu Dawang Temple is a rare Taoist temple nearby. Taoism is one of the three major religions in China and the pillar of traditional culture in China. It was born a little later than Buddhism. It is the product of the struggle between China people and foreign cultures. The originator of Taoism is Zhang Daoling in the Han Dynasty, who respects Laozi as the founder, takes Laozi's Tao Te Ching as the classic, and the central idea is "Tao".
There are "Three Buddhas" in Buddhism and "Three Buddhas" in Taoism, which are their highest representatives. People who don't know Buddhism and Taoism visit temples, and if they see the "Three Buddhas" in the Hall of Ursa Major, they belong to Buddhism. If you see the "Three Buddhas" in Sanqing Hall, it belongs to the door. Historically, there is a deep feud between Buddhism and Taoism. Later, no one could destroy anyone, and then they lived in harmony.
Taoism advocates the harmony and indifference of nature, which is in harmony with the current advocacy of building a conservation-oriented and harmonious society. Taoism advocates political inaction, which coincides with the current concept of advocating small government and big market. Therefore, Taoism has great wisdom and is worth exploring.
The legendary King Shigu was not an elf who jumped out of a crack in the stone, but a pair of sworn brothers named Shigu in the Northern Song Dynasty. They led the people against the enemy and became heroes. After death, people felt patriotic and loved the people, and set up shrines in places where they fought, including Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hunan and other places. There is an inscription recording his deeds.
In the past, King Shigu Temple was just a small temple one meter square with a huge rock behind it. At ordinary times, pilgrims disperse, with the exception of Chongyang. On this day every year, many people come from all directions with big bags of incense sticks and firecrackers. Around the temple, people crowded, pushing and shoving. The sound of firecrackers and smoke filled the air. Burning incense and candles everywhere, even the head of the ancient banyan tree was not spared. After the festival, it was devastated. Half of the trees have been burned to death, and the Shigu Dawang Temple has also been flushed with fireworks. I'm afraid even King Shigu will turn his head and sigh.
After the reform and opening up, believers re-established Wang Jian Temple in Shigu. And beside it, a wide open space was opened, and several tall iron incense burners were placed for believers to burn incense and light candles.
Today, there are not many people burning incense in the temple on the Double Ninth Festival, but there are many. But the former mountain road has become a cement road. Tourists can get on and off the bus, and evacuation is easy, but there is no congestion. People's awareness of protecting the environment and caring for trees has increased. The old tree no longer suffers.
Now that the new temple is about to be built, King Shigu, like the people all over the world, has further improved his living conditions. It not only meets the psychological needs of believers, but also reflects the admiration of future generations for martyrs. As a frequent visitor, I hope that the new temple can fully display its unique Taoist culture after its completion. Convince the world with the idea of "Taoism is natural", build a quiet and indifferent world for impetuous and luxurious secularism, and let the world live easily and healthily. 1904 On August 22nd, a baby was born in an ordinary yard in Xiexing Paifang Village, Guang 'an County, Sichuan Province. This is Deng Xiaoping.
19 10 years, 6-year-old Deng Xiaoping entered a private school. When I was a child, my classes were mainly reading three-character classics and thousands of words. At that time, the teacher only taught the students to recite the book, read it sentence by sentence, and then let the students recite it. However, the clever Deng Xiaoping loves to use his brain and dare to ask questions until he understands them, so he always knows the text by heart, not only memorizing it quickly, but also remembering it firmly. For this reason, the teacher also likes him very much.
Under the careful training of Mr. Xue, he learned to write with a brush. He is particularly interested in writing. Every day after school, he never played on the road. When he got home, he began to practice writing repeatedly after reading books. Deng Xiaoping's calligraphy, after strict training in private school writing classes, has a good foundation.
Deng Xiaoping, who loves reading and writing, is not a bookworm. He is very lively and naughty. Every day when he comes home from school, he always calls his sister and sister together and tells them to sit down. He stood opposite them, imitating the teacher's appearance in class, shaking his head and reciting the poems he had just learned, holding his waist in one hand and a book in the other, which made his family laugh and called him "Miss Xiao".
Moreover, young Deng Xiaoping showed extraordinary courage.
Near Deng Xiaoping's home, there are two stone tablets with a height of 3m and a width of 1 m, which stand on the backs of two giant stone turtles. This was created by the imperial court during Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty to commend the achievements of two senior officials in Guang 'an, Deng Shimin and Zheng Renqing. The local people are in awe of it, and no one dares to touch it, so as not to bring disaster.
One day, Deng Xiaoping and a group of friends from the village were playing here, looking at the huge stone turtle. He rolled his eyes and shouted to his friends, "shall we climb on the turtle's back and play?" Although friends usually listen to Deng Xiaoping, they are afraid to step back and say, "I dare not. According to the adults, this monument is untouchable. Touching it will make you sick. " However, Deng Xiaoping did not believe in this evil. He said, "Is the tortoise hit by a stone so magical? I don't believe it. If you dare not climb, I will climb? " Sure enough, Deng Xiaoping climbed up in the frightened eyes of his friends and said happily to the stunned friends standing below, "Isn't it fun? Really fun? " Later, when my friends saw Deng Xiaoping, they didn't cause any diseases, so they got up and played.
This kind of unbelief in God, ghosts and superstitions can be regarded as a shocking act in Deng Xiaoping's childhood!
