"Two Steps" of Physical Examination for Studying in Australia

Visa is the most effective gateway to control the entry of epidemic patients in various countries. When students apply for a visa to study abroad, most countries require students applying for a visa to provide medical certificates. However, different countries have different physical examination requirements for student visas. At present, to apply for a visa to study in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, you must go to a designated institution for a medical examination before you can get a visa. The United States, Britain, Japan and other countries have no mandatory requirements for medical certificates when applying for study visas. For the medical examination abroad, many students and parents will ask very carefully, fearing that the medical examination will affect the visa. Taking studying in Australia as an example, overseas experts will introduce matters needing attention in physical examination:

Australia enjoys the highest health standards in the world. In order to maintain these standards, all visa applicants must meet the health requirements stipulated in the immigration law before obtaining a visa to Australia. For student visas, the Immigration Bureau will issue a medical examination form after submitting the visa, requiring the applicant to go to an approved hospital for medical examination, and then the doctor will send the medical examination results directly to LCU (local ClearanceUnit), and the courier fee will be borne by the applicant.

1. Initial physical examination:

You don't have to have an empty stomach before physical examination, but don't eat sweet and greasy food; Don't drink high-sugar drinks, such as cola, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble; If you have poor eyesight, you should wear glasses in time; The medical examiner must bring the original ID card and passport, and two passport-sized photos; Ladies, please avoid at least two days before and after menstruation; Those who have undergone surgery need to bring surgical certificates, and those who have undergone pathology need to bring pathological reports. The above precautions are for your reference. Please consult the local hospital for physical examination in foreign hospitals.

2. Second physical examination:

If LCU thinks that the applicant's physical examination results need further examination and confirmation, there are usually two ways:

Send the second medical examination notice first, asking the applicant to go to the hospital for further examination, and then the doctor will send the results directly to LCU, and remember not to change the hospital within the specified time, so that the trial time of the application will be further extended, which may delay the original school start time and need to be postponed;

The second is to send the 8 15 form-overseas medical examination form, requiring the applicant to go to the designated place for medical examination within the specified time limit after entering Australia. This 8 15 form needs to be filled in, signed and returned to the visa officer. Don't forget to take this 8 15 form to Australia after getting the visa.
