Main functions of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Health

The business purpose of the center is to provide services for international exchanges and technical cooperation in the field of health; The service scope includes the organization and implementation of foreign aid projects, non-governmental international exchange projects, overseas affairs agency, overseas training group services, investment promotion services, non-governmental international aid contractors, international emergency rescue organization coordination, non-governmental international cooperation project development, pharmaceutical industry project consulting services, related conference services and holding exhibitions. Since its establishment, the Center has established good cooperative relations with dozens of countries or regions in the world, provided all-round and multi-channel services in the field of medical care for friends from all walks of life at home and abroad, and achieved a series of achievements in introducing technology, equipment, funds and talents, exchanging medical information and advanced management experience, and cultivating talents, which has played a positive role in promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the field of medical care and enhancing exchanges and friendship between colleagues at home and abroad. In the past two years, the Center has successively signed dozens of cooperation agreements with famous pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, academic groups and foundations at home and abroad, and introduced cooperation funds of more than 60 million yuan, and cooperated in personnel training, public health, disease control, community health, mental health, health education, classified management of medical institutions, medical waste management and health policy research, making positive efforts to promote the development of China's health cause. Approved by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, this center is a unit with the qualification of training groups abroad. After more than one year's operation, the training scope has expanded from hospital management to medical education management, evidence-based medicine, medical care, community health service, disease control, medical continuing education and so on. Training sites have developed from Singapore to the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Australia and other countries. The center is responsible for the specific operation and medical work of three health express trains donated by Hong Kong compatriots. Free surgery was performed for more than 26,000 cataract patients in 29 regions of 17 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. After years of development and cultivation, China SINO- Stomatology and China International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition (CHINA-HOSPEQ), sponsored or undertaken by the Center, has gradually become a professional exhibition with a certain brand and has a high reputation in similar exhibitions. The center also undertakes the daily management of the national foreign aid medical team, which has played a certain role in promoting the improvement of medical and health services in developing countries. The Center established the board of directors on March 1990 in 2002, and held the fifth board meeting on October 2, 2002, and hired 12 honorary directors and 60 directors, most of whom are well-known experts and scholars in the field of medicine and health in China, with Zhang as the director, Vice Chairman Wu Jieping and Senior Minister Qian Xinzhong as honorary directors and Li Hongshan as the director. The center consists of comprehensive personnel department, conference and exhibition department, medical consulting service department, external liaison and project management department, foreign aid medical team affairs management department, overseas service and training department, finance and enterprise management department and health express office. The affiliated institutions of the center are China Medical Tribune, the International Emergency Rescue Office of the Ministry of Health and the Foreign Aid Training Center of the Ministry of Health. All or part of the entities invested by the Center are Beijing Conway Medical Consulting Service Center, Beijing Global Medical Rescue Company, Zhongwei International Travel Service and Guo Kang (Hong Kong) Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. As an institution engaged in non-governmental international exchanges and cooperation in the health system, we are willing to establish extensive contacts with domestic and foreign pharmaceutical enterprises, academic groups and individuals to provide thoughtful and enthusiastic services for all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging exchanges and cooperation.
