Adult developmental psychology and cognitive neuroscience (including adult cognitive development and its cranial nerve mechanism; Early identification and psychological intervention of cognitive and depressive emotional problems of the elderly: a study on mental health model of the elderly in China and its related factors). He has presided over and participated in more than 10 projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Project, the Science and Technology Support Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Knowledge Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and foreign fund projects (including NIH of the United States, Wellcome Trust of the United Kingdom, and Social Research Council of Sweden), and published more than 60 research papers in core journals at home and abroad. Led the first national survey on mental health of the elderly, and established a mental health model of the elderly with China characteristics. He was awarded the Special Award Fund of Wang Kuancheng for Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Research (20 10), the Academic Achievement Award of China Gerontology Award (2007), the Visiting Scientist Award of Swedish Fund for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (200 1-2002), the Postdoctoral Scholarship of Royal Society (2002-2003) and the Excellent Doctoral Scholarship of Procter & Gamble Company of China Academy of Sciences.
