Which fish should be eaten as little as possible?

Some fish may be rich in mercury or other harmful substances, so it is suggested to minimize or avoid giving the following fish to infants, pregnant women and lactating women:

1. Large deep-sea fish: including sharks, swordfish, swordfish and tuna. These fish are usually rich in mercury, and long-term excessive intake may have adverse effects on nervous system and development.

2. Sashimi and raw fish sushi: Babies, pregnant women and lactating women should avoid sashimi and raw fish sushi because of the potential risk of parasitic infection.

3. River fish and lake fish: Some freshwater fish, such as crocodile barracuda, American eel and benthic fish, may contain high levels of mercury and other harmful substances.

In addition to the above fish, some fish caught in some areas may be polluted, so be careful to eat them. If you have questions about the safety of specific fish, it is recommended to consult local health and food safety agencies for more specific advice.
