How can we effectively maintain and promote teachers' mental health?

In order to effectively maintain and promote teachers' mental health, I think the following points should be adopted.

First, identify with the professional role of teachers. Teachers need to correctly understand their own professional characteristics, do their job well according to the requirements of role expectations and role norms, which is reflected in a peaceful mind and love for education, and can actively and wholeheartedly devote themselves to education, so as to gain a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment and avoid unnecessary professional fears and worries.

Second, establish good interpersonal relationships. The concrete manifestations are as follows: (1) Understand each other's rights and obligations, establish the relationship on the basis of reciprocity, and coordinate individual thoughts, goals and behaviors with social requirements; (2) Being able to objectively understand and evaluate others; (3) When dealing with people, there are more positive attitudes such as respect, trust, praise and joy than negative attitudes such as hatred, doubt, jealousy and disgust; (4) Communicate actively and sincerely with others. Teachers' good interpersonal relationship is manifested in the harmony between teachers and students. Teachers can establish their own prestige, be good at leading students, understand and be willing to help students, and have less dissatisfaction, punishment and negative behavior.

Third, we can know ourselves correctly, experience ourselves and control ourselves. Have a correct perception of the real environment and balance the relationship between self and reality, ideal and reality. In educational activities, the main manifestations are: (1) being able to determine work goals and personal ambitions according to their own actual conditions; (2) having a high sense of personal education efficacy; (3) Self-monitoring can be carried out in teaching activities, so as to adjust one's educational concept, improve one's knowledge structure and make more appropriate teaching behavior; (4) Being able to know yourself through others, and the evaluation of students and colleagues is more consistent with self-evaluation; (5) Have the ability of self-control and self-adjustment.

Fourth, it has educational originality. Keep learning and innovating in teaching activities. According to students' physiological, psychological and social characteristics, they can creatively understand teaching materials, choose teaching methods and design teaching links.

Fifth, we can truly feel and experience emotions in educational activities and daily life, and properly control emotions. The concrete manifestations are: (1) keep an optimistic and positive attitude; (2) Don't bring unpleasant emotions into the classroom, and don't take it out on students; (3) Being able to calmly handle emergencies and adverse events in classroom situations; (4) Restrain preference and treat students equally; (5) Don't bring the bad mood at work into family life.

In short, we believe that teachers' mental health should include two aspects: first, the improvement and promotion of teachers' mental health level, that is, the cultivation of teachers' excellent psychological quality and the training of self-regulation methods and abilities. Second, it is necessary to prevent teachers' psychological obstacles and diseases, that is, teachers' psychological health care and psychological adjustment, to achieve teachers' psychological harmony, and to truly make teachers "self-legislators" with good professional ethics and professional norms, "self-correctors" with bad professional roles and professional psychology, and "self-managers" with good psychology, emotion, behavior and habits. Of course, it is not enough to improve teachers' mental health only by their personal efforts. Schools and governments, society and environment, and various social support systems all have unshirkable responsibilities.
