In February 2016, the construction of Beijing Caofeidian International Vocational Education City, invested by CPSC Group, was officially started, of which, the first phase of three schools, with an investment of more than 4 billion yuan, was completed on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the earthquake in Tangshan.
In September 2016, the first batch of new students enrolled at Tangshan Experimental Secondary Professional School, the first school in the Vocational Education City.
In April 2017, Caofeidian Vocational and Technical College was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
