In addition to admission materials and school supplies, freshmen also need to prepare daily necessities. Daily necessities are essential, let me talk about them below.
Mosquito nets
There are more mosquitoes in autumn. If the school environment is not good, mosquitoes will easily bite you, so mosquito nets must be hung in dormitories. When I was a freshman last year, I brought a lot of luggage with me. I thought the university dormitory was clean, so I didn’t bother to hang up mosquito nets. As a result, when I went to bed, mosquitoes buzzed near my ears and kept disturbing me. Even if I swatted them with my hands, I was still disturbed, which affected my sleep quality. After waking up, my eyes became tired. I found that there were many big bites on my body and I felt very itchy. It seemed that I could not survive without hanging a mosquito net. So, I found the mosquito net in my suitcase, put it on the bed, and tied it with a few bows. Within five minutes, the mosquito net was hung up, and mosquitoes never visited my bed again.
It is recommended that college students should hang mosquito nets, especially those who live on the first floor. The first floor is relatively humid and prone to mosquito invasion. When the time comes, mosquito bites will be a big trouble. Students who have mosquito nets should close them before going to bed at night so that there are no blind spots.
Toiletries and bathroom supplies
College students need to wash their hands every day and brush their teeth in the morning and evening to ensure their teeth are clean. Toothpaste will generally be used up within a month of use, so it is recommended to prepare an extra one. Replace your toothbrush every two months. Over time, the bristles will become worn and harmful to your teeth and gums. Nowadays, it is popular among college students to use electric toothbrushes, which can wash each tooth more thoroughly and effectively remove plaque, but do not buy low-quality ones. You also need to wash your face so that you can be energetic throughout the day and not fall asleep. It is recommended to take a shower every day, which is a must in summer. If you don’t take a shower, your body will stink and you will easily be rejected by your classmates. In winter, wash every day or two. Wash your hair every day or two to keep it tidy.
Toiletries and bathroom supplies include: tooth cups, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo.
In addition, there are also clothes hangers, laundry detergent, water cups, umbrellas and other daily necessities that can be prepared. Before freshmen start school, it is recommended that they make a preparation list and write down the things they need to prepare in the list. If there are any, you can check them off. Besides, universities are usually far away from home, so it’s troublesome to go back and forth if you forget to take something, so you should prepare it in advance to prevent missing things. If there is anything missing, you can go to the school canteen to buy it, and the price is relatively cheap, which is convenient for college students to use.
