Through our survey, we found that among the 462 graduates of the 2006 clinical medicine program of the Department of Clinical Medicine of the First Faculty of the Hospital, 91% of the graduates were inclined to be employed in provincial and municipal units, 9% of the graduates were willing to be employed in county units, while none of the units below the township level were considered; 72.6% of the graduates were inclined to be employed in the third-level (triple A, triple B) hospitals, and 27.4% were willing to be employed in the second-level (triple A, triple B) hospitals. Level 2 (2A, 2B) hospitals, while no one considers Level 1 hospitals; 88% of graduates believe that their monthly salary should be above 1,000 yuan or even 2,000 yuan right after graduation.
