Zhejiang's marine economy is developing rapidly, with the gross marine product increasing from 184.6 billion yuan in 2006 to 350 billion yuan in 2010, accounting for about 1/10 of the total marine economy of the country, and being at the forefront of the country in the fields of port, shipping and logistics services, shipbuilding industry, and seawater utilization industry.
