Oncoplastic Surgery: Oncoplastic Surgery belongs to a branch of oncological surgery, which integrates the theories and techniques of oncological surgery, plastic surgery and microsurgery, and it is a surgical cross-cutting and fringe discipline featuring planned radical resection of tumors plus one-phase restoration and reconstruction on the basis of comprehensive tumor treatment (MDT). The therapeutic scope of oncoplastic surgery is mainly the repair and reconstruction of skin, mucosa, muscle, nerve, bone and other tissues and other organ defects after tumor resection. Professor Zhou Xiao of Hunan Cancer Hospital is the founder of Chinese oncoplastic surgery, the first chairman of China Association for the Promotion of International Exchanges in Health Care (CAPIH) oncoplastic surgery and functional surgery, and the first chairman of Chinese Medical Association Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Section on oncoplastic surgery. 1991-1992, Prof. Zhou Xiao studied plastic surgery at the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated to the Shanghai Jiaotong University, which is chaired by Prof. Wang Wei. 2001, Prof. Zhou Xiao was awarded the honorary title of the "Best Plastic Surgeon in China". Oncoplastic Surgery professionals in Hunan Cancer Hospital are mainly responsible for the postoperative functional reconstruction and wound repair of oncology patients of various specialties who come to our hospital, and carry out more than 400 sets of various types of free flap surgeries and more than 1,000 sets of other oncoplastic surgery surgeries every year.

Radiotherapy Department: It is the largest tumor radiotherapy center in Hunan Province, with Hunan Radiotherapy Quality Control Center, Hunan Medical Association Radiation Oncology Committee, Hunan Anti-Cancer Association Radiotherapy Committee attached to the department, and the largest radiotherapy research platform in the province - Hunan Key Laboratory of Tumor Radiotherapy, with master's degree and doctoral degree enrollment. 6, Gynecologic Tumor Section: a key discipline in Hunan Province, now has five wards and a day treatment center, with a regular establishment of 295 beds, which is the largest gynecologic tumor specialty in China. Gynecologic tumor center treats gynecologic malignant tumors with three basic methods of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the overall level of the department is leading in the province and advanced in China. In recent years, the center has frequently carried out academic and scientific exchanges and visits with top foreign cancer research institutions, such as MD Anderson Cancer Center of the United States, Northwestern University of the United States, and Institut Curie of France, which has brought the gynecologic tumor center into line with the international standard of professional technology. In clinical treatment, the center attaches importance to humanized, individualized and minimally invasive treatment, and pays attention to the protection of patients' physiological and reproductive functions, especially in the areas of young cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian germ cell tumors, etc. The center is the first one in the province to carry out the surgery of preserving the reproductive functions of cervical cancer patients, and there are a number of cases of successful delivery. Laparoscopic surgery for malignant tumors is at the leading level in the province, and it is the first to carry out repair and reconstruction of vulvar cancer after surgery. On the basis of growing clinical subjects, Gynecologic Oncology is oriented to scientific research and teaching. In the past five years, it has made more than 40 scientific researches, won 9 Hunan Medical Awards of the third grade or above***, presided over 4 National Natural Science Funds, 6 Provincial Natural Science Funds, participated in 2 national major special projects, and published more than 200 academic papers.
7. Department of Thoracic Surgery: It is a center for lung cancer prevention and treatment as well as chest tumor prevention and treatment in Hunan Province, which integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It includes two wards of Thoracic Surgery Section I and Section II. In the treatment of lung cancer, it carries out thoracoscopic radical lung cancer surgery, lung wedge resection, segmental resection, lobectomy, total lung resection, bronchial sleeve resection, vascular sleeve resection, vascular-bronchial double sleeve resection, rhomboid plasty, etc. In the treatment of esophageal cancer, it carries out the treatment of esophageal cancer and the prevention and treatment of chest tumors. As for the treatment of esophageal cancer, we have carried out left thoracoscopy combined with mediastinoscopic radical esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, resection of esophageal cancer and pancreatic cancer + gastroesophageal anastomosis, resection of esophageal cancer with the jejunum or the colon in place of the esophagus, removal of esophageal smooth muscle tumors, three-field sweeping operation for esophageal cancer, and thoracic and abdominal laparoscopy combined with esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, and so on. Chest wall benign and malignant tumor resection, chest wall repair and reconstruction, thoracoscopic mediastinal tumor resection, diaphragmatic hernia repair, mediastinoscopic surgery, bronchoscopic ultrasound-guided needle aspiration biopsy (EBUS-TBNA) and so on have been carried out in large quantities, and some of these surgeries are at the leading level in China. Our department is the training point for master's degree students of Xiangya School of Medicine of Central South University and Nanhua University, and the training point for doctoral degree students of Xiangya School of Medicine of Central South University, with two doctoral supervisors. At present, the department has undertaken or participated in a number of national "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" support projects and provincial and ministerial projects, and has built an advanced specimen bank for lung cancer and esophageal cancer. Anesthesia and Surgery Center: Our Anesthesia and Surgery Center is a national oncology anesthesia depth training base, a national blood protection training center, a national anesthesia residency standardized training base and a training center for monitoring the anesthesia depth in Hunan Province, and a department affiliated with the Perioperative Medical Management Committee of Hunan Provincial Society of Health Management. It has a professional and technical team with strong technical force. It has 25 modernized and well-equipped laminar flow purification operating rooms, PACU, anesthesia and pain clinic, pain ward, and platform facilities such as laboratories, libraries and multimedia classrooms.
