1. Supporting Education in China:
Since 1994, AIA has established the AIA-Fudan Actuarial Center, the AIA-China Actuarial Center, the AIA-Nanjing Actuarial Center, the AIA-Nanjing Actuarial Center, and the AIA-Nanjing Actuarial Center in conjunction with four renowned universities in China, namely, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Nanjing University and Peking University.

4. Supporting Disaster Reduction and Relief:
In 1998, AIA Shanghai made donations totaling RMB1 million to flood-affected areas along the Yangtze River, earthquake-affected areas in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, and the Shanghai Federation of the Disabled in Huangpu District, with a portion of the money being used to build the Yichang Red Cross Shanghai-Yi Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Center.
AIA Shanghai donated an AIA Spring Bud Primary School in Anhui Province and has been providing the school with teaching equipment for many years. At the end of 2004, when the earthquake and tsunami struck the Asian region, AIA's subsidiaries acted proactively by donating more than RMB600,000 to local Red Cross societies or related organizations.
