Why is there no epidemic in Myanmar?

Concealment and substandard detection technology are the two main reasons for people's suspicion.

The Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar updated the epidemic information at 8 pm on March 13, saying that there were 1 1 suspected patients in provincial hospitals from 6 pm on March 12 to 6 pm on March 13. At present, the blood samples and nasopharyngeal swabs of suspected patients have been sent to the national laboratory for testing. From 6: 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m. on March 13, blood samples and nasopharyngeal swabs of suspected patients were sent to the National Laboratory for testing. 12 people's laboratory reports have been issued, and the results show that there is no infection.

At 7: 30 am on March 13, a passenger plane flew from Seoul, South Korea to Yangon International Airport. There were 54 passengers, including Daegu 1 person, Gyeongju-3, Jinzhou 1 person and zhenhai district-2. According to the regulations, the airport medical staff placed seven people in the Women and Children's Hospital in Daoglaba for medical isolation observation. The remaining 43 Myanmar passengers and 4 non-Myanmar passengers on the plane were isolated at home or independently in the hotel as required.

On March 13, 7 Burmese who were placed in medical isolation in the Women and Children's Hospital in Daoglaba and 1 foreigner who were placed in Gan Donadi Hospital in mandalay province, 8 people were found to be uninfected. Up to now, no confirmed patients have been found in Myanmar. However, since the outbreak of the epidemic, many people have expressed doubts about the report of "Zero Diagnosis in Myanmar" by the Ministry of Health. Everyone's doubts are mainly divided into two categories: concealment and technical failure.

It is unlikely that Myanmar will report the epidemic. No motive. The source of the epidemic is not in Myanmar, and Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia have all been diagnosed. Besides, Myanmar has a long border with China. If Myanmar is diagnosed, there is no need for the Myanmar government to risk concealing it.

The equipment used for inspection in Myanmar is donated by foreign countries and absolutely meets international standards. Inspectors of the National Health Laboratory have received professional training before. In order to prevent accidents, before the national health laboratory officially realized independent testing, Myanmar implemented dual testing, that is, samples of suspected patients were sent to laboratories designated by WHO for testing, and at the same time, they were tested in the national health laboratory. After several days of observation, the test results of Myanmar National Health Laboratory are consistent with those designated by WHO.

At this juncture, blind panic has no effect on epidemic prevention. As ordinary people, what we can do is to cooperate with the government to do personal protection. At the same time, don't believe in rumors, don't spread rumors, and don't cause trouble to the country.
