Virtual Reality Technology Meaning

Virtual and reality are two words with contradictory meanings, and it seems meaningless to put these two words together, but the development of science and technology has given it a new meaning. The clear definition of virtual reality is not very easy to say, according to J. Laniar, the scholar who first put forward the concept of virtual reality, virtual reality, also known as imaginary reality, means "the artificial world synthesized by electronic computers". From this, we can clearly see that this field has an inseparable and close relationship with computers, and information science is the basic premise of synthesizing virtual reality. The generation of virtual reality needs to solve the following three main problems: ① the existence of the technology to fake the real. That is, how to synthesize input information that is consistent with the actual existence of the observer's sensory organs, i.e., how to generate the same visual, tactile, and olfactory sensations as in the real environment. ② Interaction. How the observer can actively and dynamically manipulate the virtual reality to realize different viewpoints and higher level sensory information. In effect, how can we see more, hear more, etc.? (iii) Autonomic reality. How the sensors can get a lifelike sense of reality without being aware of their own movements and behaviors. In order to successfully develop these three major techniques, virtual reality must deal with the interrelationships between the various elements as shown in the figure below. Here, the observer, the sensors, the computer simulation system and the display system form a closed-loop process of interaction. Today, virtual reality has developed into a comprehensive discipline involving computer graphics, precision sensing mechanisms, human-computer interfaces and real-time image processing. Virtual reality technology is divided into two categories: virtual scene (real) technology (such as virtual tour of the Forbidden City Museum) and virtual virtual scene (real) technology (such as virtual reality environment generation, virtual design of the Boeing 777 airplane, etc.). Virtual reality technology applications and cross-cutting areas are very wide, almost to the point of omnipresent and pervasive, in virtual reality technology battlefield environment, virtual reality combat command simulation, aircraft, ships, vehicles virtual reality driving training, aircraft, missiles, ships and cars virtual manufacturing (including the virtual design of the system), the virtual reality of the building display and visit, virtual reality surgical training, virtual reality games, virtual reality film and art. Virtual reality games, virtual reality film and television art and other aspects of the application and the formation of the industry have a strong market demand and technology drive. Authorities assert that virtual reality technology will be the representative of information technology in the 21st century. Its development will not only fundamentally change people's way of working and living, labor and leisure will be truly combined, people in the enjoyment of the environment in the work, in the process of work to enjoy; and virtual reality technology and art, music and other cultural and artistic combinations, will be born in the ninth human art. With the development of computer technology, it has become possible to realize virtual reality technology on PC. Therefore, at present, the running trend of virtual reality technology system is two main ways of stand-alone desktop and Internet, so it also has a great stimulating effect on the development and application of computer hardware technology and network technology. After a busy day in the office of the noisy city, how people hope that they can step into a tropical paradise.
