304 stainless steel is one of the most commonly used stainless steel, containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 403 stainless steel is also a chromium steel, but does not contain nickel, cheaper than 304 stainless steel. Corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance is relatively low, but has excellent strength and hardness, suitable for the manufacture of forgings, mechanical parts, high-pressure air pumps.
Comprehensively, 304 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance, plasticity and high temperature resistance, and has a wider range of application; while 403 stainless steel has higher strength and hardness, and is suitable for the manufacture of high-strength parts such as mechanical parts.
