The promulgation and implementation of the Law on Mediation and Arbitration of Labor Disputes marks a new stage in China's work of building the labor legal system and fills in the legal gaps in China's labor dispute handling system. The Law on Mediation and Arbitration of Labor Disputes, together with the Labor Law, the Law on Labor Contracts, the Law on Promotion of Employment, as well as labor laws, regulations and policies, constitute a relatively complete system of labor laws and regulations in China.
