What kind of laser is the laser device utilized in dentistry?

This device utilizes a laser produced by neodymium-doped aluminum yttrium garnet crystals with a pulse width of 0.01 milliseconds. It eliminates the reaction of the dental nerve and, as a result, the treatment is painless. Each laser pulse reliably vaporizes dental tissue with a thickness of 5 to 8 microns.

When the dentist's hand involuntarily or accidentally shakes, the laser beam is defocused by deviating from the treatment point by more than 1 millimeter, so that no other areas are damaged.
