First aid for heatstroke

In order to avoid heatstroke, in the hot weather, should be done: for the elderly and frail and other key groups should focus on protection, to create a comfortable small environment, indoor ventilation, as far as possible, to reduce the room temperature to 26 ~ 28 ℃, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor temperature within 8 ℃. First aid methods:

1. Immediately move the patient to a ventilated, cool, dry place, such as corridors, shade.

2. Make the patient lie on his/her back, undo the collar and remove or loosen the jacket. If the clothes are wet with sweat, replace them with dry ones, and turn on the fan or air conditioner (direct wind should be avoided) to dissipate the heat as soon as possible.

3. Use a wet towel to apply cold compresses to the head, armpits, and groin, etc. Use warm water to wipe the whole body if possible, and massage the skin and muscles to accelerate blood circulation and promote heat dissipation.

4. Conscious patients or after cooling awake patients can drink green bean soup, light salt water, or take people Dan, ten drops of water and patchouli Zhengqi water (capsules) and other relief.

5. Once a high fever, coma, convulsions and other symptoms, the patient should be allowed to lie on the side, head back, to maintain a clear airway, while immediately dialing the 120 telephone, help medical personnel to give emergency treatment.
