Polyetherimide (Polyetherimide, PEI for short) is an amorphous polyetherimide made of super engineering plastics, with the best high temperature resistance and dimensional stability, as well as chemical resistance, flame retardant, electrical, high strength, high rigidity, etc., PEI resin can be widely used in high temperature terminals, IC chassis, lighting equipment, FPCB (Flexible PCB), liquid transportation equipment, aircraft interior parts, medical equipment and household appliances. PEI resin can be widely used in high temperature resistant terminals, IC chassis, lighting equipment, FPCB (flexible circuit board), liquid transportation equipment, aircraft internal parts, medical equipment and household appliances.
(1) PEI is characterized by high strength, high rigidity, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability at high temperatures.
(2) PEI is an amber-colored transparent solid with inherent flame retardancy and low smoke without any additives, with an oxygen index of 47% and a UL94-V-0 combustion rating.
(3) The density of PEI is 1.28~1.42g/cm3, the glass transition temperature is 215℃, the heat distortion temperature is 198~208℃, it can be used for a long time under 160~180℃, and the maximum permitted intermittent use temperature is 200℃.
(4) PEI has excellent mechanical strength, electrical insulation properties, radiation resistance, high and low temperature resistance and fatigue resistance and molding and processing properties; adding glass fibers, carbon fibers or other fillers can be achieved to enhance the purpose of modification.
