Function of spherical condenser tube

The function of spherical condenser tube is: it is used for the reflux of organic preparations, and it is suitable for laboratories such as scientific research, universities, petroleum, chemical industry, pharmacy, medical and health care, primary and secondary schools. When used in distillation, fractionation or reflux device, it is used in conjunction with distillation flask and arc nozzle to condense steam and condensate droplets.

When choosing a condenser tube, generally speaking, the lower the boiling point of distillate, the more difficult it is for steam to cool, so a long condenser tube with a thick inner diameter is needed, while the higher the boiling point, the easier it is for steam to cool, so the shorter and thinner the condenser tube is. On the other hand, there are many fractions, the flask capacity is large, and the thermal surface area is increased. The more steam is discharged per unit time, the longer the condenser tube will be used.

Before use, clean the spherical condenser tube, connect the enlarged part of the upper end of the spherical condenser tube to the branch tube of the flask with a rubber plug with a hole, add the substance to be distilled into the distillation flask, then connect the water source at the water inlet of the condenser tube with a rubber tube, and connect the other rubber tube to the upper opening, which is convenient for cooling wastewater to flow out.

The lower end of the spherical condenser tube is connected to the receiving bottle, and usually a curved nozzle is used to connect the receiving bottle, so that the distilled liquid can flow out vertically. After all the equipment is installed, fix it on the shelf, turn on the cooling water source first, and then heat the distillate until it boils. When the steam meets the wall of the inner core tube cooled by cooling water, it condenses into droplets and flows into the receiving bottle to obtain pure substances.
