What is the material of SCM435?

SCM435 is made of steel.

Chemical composition of SCM435:

C: 0.33 ~ 0.38

Silicon Si: 0. 15 ~ 0.35

Manganese Mn: 0.60-0.90

Sulfur S: allowable residual content ≤0.030.

Phosphorus P: allowable residual content ≤0.030.

Chromium Cr: 0.90 ~ 1.20

Nickel Ni: allowable residual content ≤0.25.

Copper and copper: allowable residue ≤0.30.

Mo: 0. 15 ~ 0.30

The characteristics of SCM435 are: high static strength, impact toughness and fatigue limit, hardenability higher than 40Cr, high high-temperature creep strength and endurance strength, and long-term working temperature up to 500℃; Cold deformation plasticity is medium and weldability is poor.

Scope of application: SCM435 is used as an important structural part working under high load, such as the transmission parts of vehicles and engines; Rotor, main shaft, heavy-duty transmission shaft, large-section parts of turbogenerator.
