Is surface warming therapy the same as blood warming therapy?

Not the same.

1. Body surface warming treatment refers to providing warmth care to patients with hypothermia and surgical patients during the three periods before, during and after surgery. Using a warming blanket or warming device can effectively warm the patient's body temperature and reduce the occurrence of hypothermia during surgery.

2. Blood warming refers to heating blood products in a blood warmer or using other means, and then giving blood to the patient after reaching a certain temperature. Blood warming can effectively prevent a large amount of low-temperature liquid from entering the patient's body, causing irritation and adverse reactions. It is generally used in patients who require large amounts of rapid blood transfusion, blood transfusion therapy in infants, and patients with certain cold coagulation hormones in the body.
