PP foam sheet performance
1, excellent heat resistance. Foamed PS is usually used at 80 ℃, foamed PE can only withstand 70-80 ℃, while foamed PP can withstand 120 ℃. Foamed PP placed at 120 ℃ for 22h, the size of the shrinkage is less than 2%, in the same conditions as foamed PE is about 40% shrinkage. Therefore, foamed PP can be used in the use of temperature more than 100 ℃ occasions.
2, excellent mechanical properties. Japan Furukawa Electric's Ace-type PP foam, for example, its mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear strength in the foam at the highest level; its compression strength is lower than rigid PUR and foam PS, but higher than soft PUR, that is, with medium compression strength.
3, significant thermal insulation. Foamed PP is a closed cell structure like foamed PE, so its thermal conductivity will not be affected by moisture. Since its thermal conductivity is lower than that of foamed PE, it has significant thermal insulation, so it can be used as advanced thermal insulation material.
4, good resilience, and high impact energy absorption capacity.
