These sensors are very sensitive and are widely used in a variety of applications such as robotics, automotive, industrial automation, space exploration and medical devices.
Hall sensors can be categorized into two types
One type is the magnetic Hall sensor, which detects the presence of a magnetic object or the strength of a magnetic field.
The other category is non-magnetic Hall sensors, which can detect the presence of non-magnetic objects or the strength of a magnetic field
Hall sensors can also be divided into two types: direct Hall sensors and indirect Hall sensors.
Direct Hall sensors are magnetic materials placed directly in the conductive material, when the magnetic field changes, the magnetic particles in the magnetic material will be affected by the magnetic field and change, thus causing changes in the current in the conductive material to detect changes in the magnetic field.
The indirect Hall sensor means that the magnetic material is placed outside the conductive material, when the magnetic field changes, the magnetic material will produce a magnetic field, this magnetic field will have an effect on the conductive material, thus causing changes in the current in the conductive material to detect changes in the magnetic field.
Direct Hall sensors are generally used to detect the strength of the magnetic field, and indirect Hall sensors are used to detect the direction of the magnetic field.
There are also some different types of Hall sensors such as long wire Hall sensors, linear Hall sensors, face Hall sensors, ring Hall sensors etc.
Long wire Hall sensors are generally used to detect longer magnetic objects such as railroad tracks.
Linear Hall sensors are generally used to detect the position of an object, such as drive-in sensing of a car.
Faceted Hall sensors are generally used to detect the area of an object, such as the touch of a smartphone screen.
Ring Hall sensors are generally used to detect the angle of an object.
Hall sensors have a wide range of applications and are constantly evolving and improving, and will have new applications in many fields in the future.
