Hunan Normal University School of Medicine Medical Laboratory was founded in 1954. After more than 50 years of practice, it has formed a unique style of medical testing education and schooling characteristics. Nowadays, the medical laboratory program has four specialized teaching and research departments of biochemistry, parasitology, microbiology and immunology, and clinical laboratory, with medical laboratory and parasitology research laboratory and molecular biology research laboratory. The biochemistry course was listed as a provincial key course in 1992 and passed the evaluation and acceptance by the expert group of the provincial education department in 1995, obtaining a qualified acceptance and a single excellent evaluation.
