Jiaying College School of Medicine, Jiaying College School of Medicine, Jiaying College School of Medicine, formerly known as the Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, founded in March 1951, was approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province in April 2003 to upgrade, and into the Jiaying College to become Jiaying College College of the second level of the College, renamed Jiaying College School of Medicine. 2003 to start a full-time specialties, 2006, the opening of the Pharmacy, Nursing In 2010, it was granted the right to confer Bachelor of Science degree, and in 2014, it started the undergraduate programs of Clinical Medicine and Medical Laboratory Technology.
The overall employment rate of graduates is more than 97%, and over the past 67 years of running the school, more than 35,020 health care professionals of various levels have been trained and delivered to the society, and most of the graduates have already become competent in the business of their units or management backbones.
The college covers an area of 152 acres, with a building area of more than 89,000 square meters. There are 4,378 full-time students and 1,325 adult undergraduates and specialists. There are 281 teachers, including 81 teachers with the title of associate professor and 134 teachers with the title of intermediate professor; 114 teachers with master's degree or above; and 22 visiting professors such as academician Liao Wanqing. The total value of teaching instruments and equipments is more than 44.5 million yuan, and the collection of paper books and electronic books is 255,000 volumes (species).
With a directly affiliated hospital and Xichang Science and Technology Building, Lihua Teaching Building, Huaxia Foundation Building, Science Museum, student apartments, 400-meter runway standard sports field and a number of modern teaching and medical equipment, the university has strong teaching, scientific research and medical strength.
Currently, the college offers four undergraduate majors in nursing, pharmacy, clinical medicine and medical testing technology and 10 specialized majors in clinical medicine, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical testing technology, medical imaging technology, stomatology technology, public ****health management, medical nutrition, and rehabilitation therapy technology.
