Jizhong Vocational College is an old and young ordinary college of higher education, enjoying the reputation of "a thousand years of school, a hundred years of teacher training". Since the Tang and Song dynasties, it has been a place for teaching and schooling. The Minglun Hall of the South School was founded in the Song Dynasty, and now it has spanned over a thousand years; in 1916, the Dingxian Women's Normal School under the Direct Subsidiary Government was founded, and it opened a wonderful chapter of teacher training in the past hundred years. Over the past century, the school has undergone several changes, and has been renamed as Jizhong First Normal School, Hebei Provincial Normal School, Hebei Dingxian Normal School, Hebei Dingzhou Normal School, Baoding Normal College Dingzhou Branch. on July 27, 2006, approved by the Hebei Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education for the record, was formally transformed into the Jizhong Vocational College.
The college now has two campuses in the north and south and an affiliated middle school (Qiming Middle School). There are 242 teaching staff, including 1 doctoral student, 58 master's degree students, 3 candidates for the third level of Hebei Province's "Three Thirty-Three Talent Project", 1 Hebei Model Teacher, 9 Baoding Academic and Technological Leaders of the New Century, 6 Baoding Teaching Masters, and 85% of the teachers are dual-teachers. There are more than 6000 students in the school. The attached middle school has 3500 students and 170 teachers.
