Liu'an Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general institution of higher education at the specialized level approved and established by the People's Government of Anhui Province. It is the inter-regional employment training base for rural surplus labor force in Lu'an City approved by the Development and Reform Commission of the State Council, and the only national-level demonstration base for labor force training in poverty-stricken areas in Anhui Province approved by the Poverty Alleviation Office of the State Council. The college covers an area of 1,500 acres, with a total construction area of nearly 238,000 square meters. It is built according to the master plan approved by the People's Government of Lu'an City, Anhui Province, and in accordance with the development goals of practical science and technology city of Lu'an City, 10,000-people university city, and campus culture tourism area. In recent years, the college has invested 110 million yuan, built a landscaped area of 280,000 square meters, 120,000 square meters of natural water features, 24,000 square meters of campus culture square, 44,669 square meters of the main teaching building, 74,490 square meters of training centers, 78,413 square meters of office buildings, 9300 square meters of libraries, 2100 square meters of building area, life service centers and 694,000 square meters of building area, and the college is now in the process of construction. Life Service Center and a building area of 69,405 square meters of student apartments, all kinds of teaching, training, living services and facilities, initially showing a modern campus, green campus, ecological campus image of the university.
Liu'an Vocational College of Technology has assets worth 227 million yuan, with ten on-campus training centers, including construction training center, CNC training center, electromechanical training center, electrician, electronic and automation training center, economic management training center, gardening technology training center, logistics management training center, automotive technology training center, art design training center, and English interactive teaching network center, etc., and all kinds of teaching instruments and equipment worth nearly 4,500 yuan. The total value of teaching instruments and equipments is nearly 45 million yuan, and the college has 174 experimental training rooms and internship training bases.
