On-demand customized medical equipment transformer.
When there is no current on the secondary side, only the excitation current is measured at one time, which is generally only about 1% of the rated current of the transformer, and the power factor is very low, so the actual power consumption is also very small. If you want to reduce this consumption, you can consider reducing the direction of transformer excitation current, such as using amorphous alloy core to reduce the design magnetic flux density of the core. Of course, a better way is to install the switch on the primary side of the transformer (or install a control switch linked with the secondary side), so that the transformer will not be excited after shutdown.
