Lao People's Democratic Republic is a landlocked country in the northern Indian zhina Peninsula, bordering China in the north, Cambodia in the south, Vietnam in the east, Myanmar in the northwest and Thailand in the southwest. Although Laos borders Myanmar and Vietnam, it does not belong to these two countries. As an independent country, Laos has its own government, territory and international status. Therefore, Laos belongs to neither Myanmar nor Vietnam, but an independent country.
