How to apply for fumigation certificate

Fumigation procedure

1. The factory inspector should open the box for inspection. The main contents include: whether the cabinet body is tight, whether the ventilation holes are sealed, whether there are bark and wormholes in the wooden packaging, detecting the temperature of the wooden packaging, checking the number of pieces, marking, product name and registered cabinet number.

2. Seal the box and inflate it. The fumigation time is 24 hours.

3. The inflatable cabinet cannot be moved.

4. Deflation: After fumigation for 24 hours, the factory inspector will open the package and deflate it. Generally, it takes half a working day to seal the box and lead and drag it into the port dock.

5. Get through customs clearance: within half a working day after deflation, make a customs clearance form according to work contact (the customs clearance form is mainly used for customs declaration).

6. Take the fumigation certificate: take the work contact form to get the certificate, which can usually be obtained within three working days after deflation.

The following requirements require that the wooden packaging used in the goods be disinfected before leaving the country, and determine the countries that need to fumigate the exported wood: the United States, Canada, Brazil, the Philippines, South Africa, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey, the European Union, Chile, Australia and other countries. (Specific list of EU-25 countries: France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Britain, Denmark, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia); All exported goods, no matter which country you go to, if the goods are not packed in wood, please attach the certificate of non-wood packaging. If the goods are packed in wood, you must attach the fumigation customs clearance form.

Fumigation and disinfection certificate is a kind of pest control certificate, which proves that the relevant products have passed the quarantine and fumigation procedures provided by recognized fumigation service providers. The customs of the United States, Canada and Britain all require that the solid wood packaging materials from Hongkong and Chinese mainland be accompanied by fumigation certificates. All wooden packaged goods exported to Canada, the United States, Australia and other countries or required by customers must be fumigated.
