What is the waterproof rating of the hearing aid?

The IP we see on weekdays is the abbreviation of Ingress Protection. In fact, IP level is the protection level against foreign body intrusion in the shell of electrical equipment, such as explosion-proof electrical appliances, waterproof and dustproof electrical appliances.

Generally, hearing aid boxes will be marked with IPXX, where XX is two Arabic numerals. The first marked number indicates the contact protection and foreign body protection level, and the second marked number indicates the waterproof protection level. The higher the number, the better the protection level. Dust-proof grade (the first X), what each waterproof grade of hearing aid represents, see the figure below.

So don't worry once the hearing aid falls into the water. Generally speaking, hearing AIDS are waterproof. Take them to a professional fitting center in time.
