Agricultural terraces of moray eels in India. Sixty-nine kilometers outside of Cusco, Peru, there is a wonderful attraction known as the Moray Eel Agricultural Terraces. It consists of layers of circular platforms. When scientists studied the site, they found that the temperature gradually changed as they moved up to the innermost level. The purpose of the site is unknown, but scientists dug up pollen and seeds in the area, so they hypothesized that the site could have been used to grow plants for different seasons.
Along with the Sea Eel Agricultural Terraces that are sites are the Rock Churches of Lalibela, the ruins of Nam Madul, the Stone Tank Plains of Laos, and the Phoumapang Valley Temples. There are eleven rock churches in Lalibela and these rocks are granite.
