Introduction to Changsha Senior Technical School: Changsha Senior Technical School is the only municipal full-time public national key Changsha Senior Technical School is the only municipal full-time public key national technical school in Changsha City, which is a secondary unit under the direct management of Changsha Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Changsha Senior Technical School is the only municipal full-time public technical school under the direct management of Changsha Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security. It is a national key technical school which mainly focuses on the training of middle and senior level mechanical manufacturing professionals, and is a designated vocational skills appraisal station of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and a training base of Hunan Province for high-skilled talents.
In 1979, the school was founded in Changde City, formerly known as Puyuan Mechanical Technical School, which is subordinate to Hunan Puyuan Engineering Machinery General Factory, and was upgraded to Hunan Provincial Key Technical School in April 1997, and founded Changsha Huanghua Campus by decision of the Party Committee of the Bureau of Changde and Changsha in October 2007, and became a two-location school in Changde and Changsha. In December 2011, approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the school was upgraded to senior technical school and renamed as Changsha Senior Technical School.
The school now has two teaching campuses in Changsha and Changde, covering an area of about 101 acres (58 acres in Changde Campus and 43 acres in Changsha Huanghua Campus), with a building area of 51,500 square meters and fixed assets of more than 48 million yuan. The school now has nearly 1,000 students and 72 teaching staff, including 37 teachers with senior titles and advanced skills, 28 teachers with intermediate titles, 55 "dual-teacher" teachers with both craftsmanship and skill, and 22 teachers with national vocational skills appraisal qualifications. There are training courses for intermediate technicians, advanced technicians and highly skilled personnel, and at the same time, the school carries out various kinds of vocational skills training and teacher training for the society, and undertakes vocational skills appraisal and employment services.
