How to connect a t14 laptop to a serial monitor

Requires a USBTPCOM adapter to connect to a serial monitor.

First of all, you need to buy a set of USBTOCOM adapter, connect the USB cable and USBTOCOM adapter and plug it into the USB port of your laptop, the operating system will automatically find the new device and add the driver, if you can't add the driver automatically, then you need to plug in the driver disk to guide the installation of the driver. If the driver cannot be added automatically, then you need to insert the driver disk to guide the installation, this driver will be provided when you purchase the adapter. After successful installation, the system will notify you that it is ready to use. You go to Start and select Settings, select Control Panel, and then select System. Under Ports there may be two ports one for the modem and the other for the converter, find the port you want to use, set the port properties and the serial port is installed.

The serial port of a computer is an older form of external interface, and has been reduced from 2-4 com ports to 1-2 com ports on current desktops, and com ports are no longer provided on laptops, but com ports are still widely used in medical devices for external communication.
