Why Israel is called the center of the earth

Because of Israel's small size, only 6.75 million people, people call the world's "smallest superpower", also known as the "pocket superpower".

Israel is a very strange country. It has a long, tortuous and frustrating history, and since its founding in 1948, Israelis have lived in a very difficult environment. Most of the land is desert, very poor, serious water shortage; coupled with tensions with the Palestinians and some Arab countries, the bloodshed has never ceased, are constraints on the development of the economy. However, Israel had managed to rise rapidly in that situation, turning from a backward agricultural country into a developed industrial country with a per capita output of $17,500. Less than 3 per cent of the agricultural population was not only self-sufficient in agricultural products, but also exported large quantities to European countries. Israel's information, communication, electronics, chemical industry, biotechnology, medical equipment, fine processing not only reached the international level, in some high-tech fields also jumped to the world's leading position. Israel's military industry is quite developed, and its arms exports have ranked fifth in the world. Due to the small size of Israel, only 6.75 million people, people call the world's "smallest superpower", also known as "pocket superpower".
