Occupational Interest Self Quiz

In each row, there are three occupations, and you must decide which one appeals to you the most, the second most, and the least, and which one doesn't appeal to you, and you must choose between the three. Fill in the blanks labeled a, b, and c with 1, 2, and 3. For the occupation that you like best, fill in ?1?; for the occupation that you like generally, fill in ?2?; and for the occupation that you don't like, fill in ?3?. Sometimes you will find that a particular set of occupations all appeal to you, or that you are not interested in any of them, and even then you will have to make a choice.

Remember: this quiz is designed to determine which careers are attractive to you. Yet people are often concerned with the question of how to answer when there is a distance between what they want to do and what they can actually do. You can answer this in two ways: first, ask yourself, ? Would I like to engage in this kind of career, regardless of my ability, regardless of whether I am qualified or not?? Holding off, this is usually the method people use. Second, ask yourself again, ? Would I like to be in this occupation if I had the ability??

If you're interested in more than just one field, then you should try to find a career that can take all your interests and inclusive career. For example, an architect may be very interested in the field of art, but others may enjoy a career in business and organizational management.
