The official name of the new RoHS Directive is "2011/65/EU Directive on the Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Revised)", which was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on July 1, 2011 and will enter into force on July 21, 2011.

The new RoHS Directive is also known as RoHS 2.0, and after January 2013, electronic products bearing the CE marking must comply with the requirements of this new Directive.
